Responsibilities

• The hirer acknowledges that the vehicle of choice was delivered to them in good working condition. The hirer also understands and agrees that the vehicle must be returned to Let’s Drive in the same condition as when it was rented (including all accessories).
• If the hirer violates any of the company’s terms and conditions, Let’s Drive reserves the right to recall the vehicle at any time.
• Let’s Drive will not be held liable for any loss of property.
• Let’s Drive reserves the right to change its terms and conditions at any time without prior notice to any party.

Geographical Limits

• Vehicles rented from Let’s Drive may only be driven within the geographical boundaries of the United Arab Emirates.

Mileage Allowance

• Daily/ Weekly Rentals

The daily mileage allowance is 200 kilometers. Anything beyond that will be charged at AED 0.50/KM.

• Monthly Rentals

The monthly mileage allowance is 4500 kilometers. Anything beyond that will be charged at AED 0.50/KM.

Fuel Policy

• The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as when it was hired at the end of the rental period. If the fuel level is significantly lower, fuel charges may apply.

Damage

• It is the hirer’s responsibility to keep tires properly inflated at all times.
• It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure that the vehicle and its instruments are not damaged or tampered with.
• It is the responsibility of the hirer to keep the vehicle clean at all times.
• The hirer is responsible for any and all repair costs incurred during the rental period except car general service.
• The hirer is not permitted to use a third-party repair service; doing so may result in a penalty.
• In the event of a damage or accident, the hirer should contact the police (999) as well as Let’s Drive (+971 4 408 7311/ or +971 4 408 7311).
• Any damage caused during the rental period must be documented by a police report.

Rental Period & Return Policy

• Rent is charged on a 24-hour basis.
• A two-hour grace period is allowed on the return date; any delay of more than two hours will result in excess charges of a complete day.
• Check-in deadline: 18:00/6.00 PM • No check-in on Sundays or holidays.
• For pick-up service on the return date (in Dubai), the hirer must notify Let’s Drive at least 12 hours in advance.
• In order to receive pick-up service on the return date (in all other Emirates), the hirer must notify Let’s Drive at least 24 hours in advance of the pick-up time.

Payments & Other Charges

Security Deposit

• Let’s Drive will keep a security deposit of AED 1500 prior to the hirer receiving the vehicle.
• Security deposit amounts may differ depending on the type of vehicle rented.
• The deposit will be held for 30 calendar days after the check-in date to cover fines incurred after the rental period.
• Pickups within Dubai will be charged 150 AED.
• Pickups in emirates other than Dubai will be charged 210 AED.

Salik

• AED 5 will be charged for each Salik crossing.
• The Salik crossing rates are subject to change without notice.
• Let’s Drive’s service charge will be subject to a 5% tax rate.

Fines

• All fines incurred during the rental period will be the hirer’s responsibility.
• AED 20 acknowledgment fee plus 10% service charge will be charged to the hirer.
• Fines of less than AED 200 will incur a minimum service charge of AED 20.
• The service charge will be subject to 5% VAT.

Service/ Maintenance

• All rental fees include periodic servicing fees. The first servicing fee is covered at 1000 kilometers.
• Following the initial service, servicing will be required every 10,000 kilometers.
• Let’s Drive must be notified at least two days before the next servicing.
• In the event of a vehicle breakdown, Let’s Drive will provide a replacement vehicle until the service is completed.
• Vehicles that were not serviced at the scheduled times and have sustained damage or mechanical issues will be the hirer’s responsibility.
• All repairing costs will be borne by the hirer. The rental period will be extended to account for the time required to repair the damages.
• Without written permission from Let’s Drive, the hirer shall not allow any third party to repair the rented vehicle.
• All tire punctures must be repaired by the hirer.
• Tire puncture damage will be inspected by the inspection team, and the hirer may be charged.
• All vehicles must be serviced in accordance with the service tag found on the vehicle’s windscreen.
• Any mechanical damage or failure must be reported to Let’s Drive; the hirer is responsible for any damage caused by late reporting.
• The rental office will communicate the procedure for servicing the vehicle; this also applies to minor issues such as a flat tire.
• If the vehicle was damaged as a result of being driven with a flat tire, the hirer will be held fully responsible for the repair costs.

Additional Driver

• Each additional driver will cost the hirer AED 100.

Insurance

• Any vehicle rented from Let’s drive is only insured for use on paved roads within the UAE.
• If the hirer is at fault, the maximum liability ranges from AED 1,500 to 3500, depending on the car category, and a police report is required.
• If the vehicle is in total loss, the hirer must pay an additional charge of 20% of the vehicle’s purchase price if it is less than 12 months old or 15% of the vehicle’s purchase price if it is more than 12 months old.
• If the vehicle is damaged, the hirer must obtain a police report; otherwise, the hirer will be held liable for all damage repair costs.
• Windshields, tires, wheels, tools, battery and wheel caps are not covered by insurance.

Legal Issues

Age

• All hirers must be, at a minimum, 22 years of age.
• 80% insurance is covered for hirers between the ages 22 and 25.

Impounding

• In the event that the vehicle is impounded by authorities Parking, the hirer will be obligated to pay Let’s Drive the impounding charges as well as the loss of rental charges.
• The hirer is responsible for ensuring that the rented vehicle is always parked in a safe, secure location and that all doors are kept locked.
• The hirer is responsible for any vehicle damage.
• The hirer is responsible for any key loss.
• The minimum charge for a lost key is AED 1500. Lost key charges may vary depending on the category of vehicle rented.

Online Booking – Terms & Conditions

• The Online Booking Terms and Conditions are effective as of January 1, 2019.

Process

• Selection: Client criteria entered into online booking form, including dates of rental period and vehicle selection.
• Our Offer: Based on the clients’ criteria, Let’s Drive will provide the client with offers matching their requests. The client will then select their preferred offer.
• Confirmation of choice: The customer selects the offer and then clicks the “Book Now” box to temporarily reserve the service for the customer.
• Notification: The customer will be asked to complete customer information, confirm the booking summary, and formally accept the terms and conditions of the booking after temporarily booking the desired service. The customer can then choose the option, “Pay Now”
• Final Confirmation: Let’s Drive will send you a confirmation email, including all reservation details.

Confirmation Mail

• After all phases of the “process” are finished, the client will receive a final booking confirmation email.
• The terms and conditions of the service are also included in this email.

Booking Details

• Booking Date: Let’s Drive accepts reservations for same-day rentals up to three hours in advance.
• The Let’s Drive’s one-day minimum rental period applies to all vehicles. Any vehicles picked up earlier than the 24-hour window will still be charged a day rate.

Rates

• Let’s Drive will include the following in your final rate quote: all required fees, VAT, and any additional taxes levied by the government, as well as the number of kilometers or miles travelled Insurance for third parties’ obligations Theft and Collision Damage Waivers.

Payment

• Payment options include 1) Book and Pay Now and 2) Book and Pay at Station.
• Prepayment is meant by “Book and Pay Now.”
• Online access to prepaid rates will be provided.
• At the time of booking, payment of the total estimated cost is necessary.
• Direct payment at the Let’s Drive branch is referred to as “Book and Pay at Station.”
• It is critical to ensure that your credit card is accepted – for more information, see the terms and conditions.

Means of Payment

• Payment can be made using any of the methods listed below:
• Credit Cards – credit cards commonly accepted at Let’s Drive are Mastercard and Visa.
• Debit Cards – To be accepted, debit cards must be linked to a bank account.
• Maestro Cards.
• Visa Electron Cards.

Deposit

• A deposit is a payment made in addition to the full amount. The rental had to be paid at the list price.
• The exact amount of the required deposit will be communicated to the hirer prior to finalization and will be repeated in the confirmation emails.
• The deposit is intended to provide Let’s Drive with security and authorization prior to the start of the rental period.
• The deposit required will vary depending on the car category selected.
• The deposit payment is valid for the duration of the rental period.
• The deposit must be returned to the hirer within 30 days of the vehicle being returned.
• All payments must be cleared at the time of check-in.

Reservation Guarantee

• Let’s Drive is required to provide a guaranteed delivery period for the chosen vehicle to the hirer, subject to the hirer meeting all requirements.
• If the hirer does not provide credit card information, a one-hour guaranteed period will be provided in which the hirer’s guaranteed reservation will be kept up to one hour after the due pick-up time.
• Once the operating hours for that day have ended, the reservation is marked as a no-show.
• If Let’s Drive is unable to provide the requested car category at any time before a reservation is listed as a No Show, alternatives will be offered to the hirer.
• Let’s Drive will offer the customer two options if the requested vehicle is not available:(1) an upgrade in “extras” at no additional cost, and (2) a downgrade with compensation(a voucher for future rent).

Other General Terms & Conditions

• If the hirer is a tourist with a driving license from a UAE-approved country, the hirer must sign a contract stating that once the hirer obtains residency in the UAE, they must obtain a driving license from the United Arab Emirates. The hirer also agrees that driving in the UAE with a driving license from another country will be illegal once residency is obtained.
• Any accident or damage to the rented vehicle caused by the driver being under the influence of alcohol or any narcotic drug will result in the hirer being held fully liable.
• The hirer must ensure that only drivers whose names appear on the contract are permitted to operate the vehicle.
• The hirer is not permitted to tint the vehicle’s windows or apply their own stickers to the vehicle. Let’s Drive will impose a fine of AED 500 for such violations, and the hirer will be fully liable for any penalties imposed by the government.
• Accounts handle all billing and account disputes and conflicts.
• Accounts handle all maintenance and service disputes and conflicts.
• There are no cash refunds.
